onesie shows the person you have paired with what you are up to: one word out of eleven, or a room you built. This page says what the app keeps, what never leaves your phone, and how to delete all of it. It is run by Yaju Shrestha, an individual. Last updated 24 September 2026.
what stays on your phone
Your location, your calendar, and the places you label (home, work, the gym) are read on your phone and used there to work out your activity. None of it is sent anywhere. Raw coordinates and calendar contents never leave the device; the code that turns them into an activity has no network access at all.
what we keep
- your account: the name you enter, and an email address and password, or the identifier Apple or Google gives us when you sign in with them
- for each signed-in phone, the address it connects from and its iOS version, so a stolen session can be told apart from yours
- the character you picked
- your current activity (one of eleven words, or one of your rooms), whether you set it or your phone did, and when it changed
- who you are paired with, and the friends you have added by code
- rooms you build, and who you have invited into them
- a push token, so a kiss can reach the other phone
- on this website only: your email address, if you join the waitlist, until the app is out
who sees it
Your partner sees your activity. A friend sees it only while you have switched that on for them, and can stop seeing it the moment you switch it off. Nobody else can find you: there is no directory, no search and no public profile. We do not sell or share this information, and there are no advertising or analytics companies in the app.
where it lives
The server and database run on Railway, in the United States. Push notifications go through Apple. The one email the app ever sends, a code to reset a forgotten password, goes through Resend. That is the whole list.
deleting everything
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. Your account is hidden at once and permanently deleted after fourteen days, along with your activity history, pairing, friends, rooms and push tokens. If you signed in with Apple, we tell Apple to revoke the sign-in as well. Change your mind inside those fourteen days by signing back in.
children
onesie is not for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly keep anything about them.
